POS bundles and set menus
POS bundles and set menus
What this feature is for
Bundles and set menus let you sell several products as one priced offer. You define choice groups (for example a starter, a main, and a dessert) and how the bundle price is allocated across the components diners pick.
Who can use it
Building bundles is part of catalog management, so it is an Owner and Admin task. Staff sell bundles on an order but do not configure them.
Availability and required module/permission
Bundles require the POS module and the catalog-management permission, alongside the rest of the POS catalog.
Prerequisites
The component products must already exist in the POS catalog with complete financial metadata before you can group them into a bundle.
Common tasks
- Create a bundle: set its price and add choice groups that list the eligible products for each slot.
- Sell a bundle: on an order it adds a parent line for the bundle with a component line per chosen product.
Buttons and statuses
A bundle appears on the order as one parent line plus its component lines. The parent carries the bundle price; components carry the allocated share.
Warnings and important constraints
Allocation keeps every component traceable for tax and accounting. Component prices are snapshotted like any order line, so later catalog edits do not change past bundles.
Troubleshooting guidance
If a bundle cannot be added, confirm each component product is orderable (complete financial metadata) and that every required choice group has a valid selection.
