Analytics overview
What this feature is for
The Analytics overview brings your restaurant's key figures together in one shared shell so you can read operational performance at a glance and open the more detailed reports from there. It draws on the modules you have, so what you see depends on what the restaurant runs.
Who can use it
Owners, Admins, and Staff can view operational analytics. Viewers can open the shell but do not have the operational-metrics permission. Revenue figures are limited to Owner and Admin.
Availability and required module/permission
Operational analytics require at least one operational module: Booking Engine or POS. Viewing operational metrics needs the operational-analytics permission. Financial and revenue figures need the POS module together with the financial-analytics permission, so they stay hidden without both.
Prerequisites
None beyond the module and permission above. Metrics appear as soon as the relevant module is active and has data to report.
Common tasks
- Read operational metrics: open the overview to see current bookings or service activity.
- Open a detailed report: move from the overview into the reservations or occupancy views.
- Check revenue: view financial figures when POS and the financial permission are both present.
Screen and field reference
The overview presents operational metrics for the active modules. Revenue and financial panels appear only with POS and the financial permission. A metric with no underlying data is shown as missing, which is different from a real value of zero: missing means "not available yet", zero means "measured, and it is none".
Warnings and important constraints
Revenue analytics require both the POS module and the financial permission; without both they do not appear. Do not read a missing metric as zero, or a zero as missing — they mean different things.
Troubleshooting guidance
If operational metrics are empty, confirm the restaurant has the Booking Engine or POS module and your role has the operational permission. If revenue is missing, confirm POS is active and you have the financial permission.
