POS printing
POS printing
What this feature is for
POS printing at /pos/printing produces kitchen and service tickets and customer receipts. It is an audited output channel that snapshots order, invoice, and correction data; it is not the fiscal source of truth.
Who can use it
Owners, Admins, and Staff can execute prints. Managing printers, routes, and templates, and reprinting finalized documents, are Owner and Admin actions.
Availability and required module/permission
Printing requires the POS module and the print-execute permission. A final receipt additionally requires that the invoice is finalized and its fiscal seal succeeded.
Prerequisites
You need an active POS module. Kitchen tickets and draft receipts can print during service; a final receipt needs a finalized, sealed invoice behind it.
Common tasks
- Print a ticket: send a kitchen or service ticket for the current order.
- Print a receipt: print a draft receipt during service, or a final receipt once the invoice is finalized.
Buttons and statuses
Draft receipts and kitchen tickets are non-final. A final receipt is available only after finalization and a successful fiscal seal.
Warnings and important constraints
Printing never changes a fiscal document. A reprint creates a controlled copy job rather than altering the sealed invoice, so the fiscal record stays the source of truth.
Troubleshooting guidance
If a final receipt will not print, confirm the invoice is finalized and its fiscal seal succeeded; a draft or unsealed invoice can only produce a draft receipt.
